CANCOM IT Systeme AG announces significant increase in sales and profits in 2005
Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP – a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— CANCOM IT Systeme AG announces significant increase in sales and profits in 2005 – € 226.1 million sales in 2005, compared with € 206.9 million in 2004 (up 9.3 percent) – € 43.1 million gross yield, compared with € 34.9 million in 2004 (up 23.5 percent) – € 3,8 million EBITDA, compared with € 2,9 million in 2004 (up 32,5 percent) – € 2.4 million EBIT, compared with € 1.3 million in 2004 (up 85.0 percent) Jettingen-Scheppach, Germany, 14 February 2006 The CANCOM Group continued its growth in the financial year 2005. According to the latest figures, which are provisional and subject to confirmation by the auditor, consolidated sales and profits exceeded those for the previous year. Consolidated sales in the financial year 2005 rose by 9.3 percent to € 226.1 million. 19.0 percent. The reason for this significant improvement in profitability is the Group’s successful expansion of its IT services business, which enabled the gross yield to be increased by 23.5 percent to € 43.1 million. Consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose from € 2.9 million in 2004 to € 3.8 million in 2005 (an increase of 32.5 percent). Consolidated earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose from € 1.3 million to € 2.4 million (an increase of 85.0 percent). The earnings figure reported was reduced to the tune of altogether € 0.4 million by non-recurring restructuring costs for the integration of acquisitions, and voluntary repayment to employees following a temporary pay cut in 2003. Without these extraordinary items, the EBITDA would have amounted to € 4.2 million (up 46.3 percent) and EBIT € 2.8 million (up 116.2 percent). The Executive Board expects a continuing growth in sales accompanied by a disproportionate growth in profits in the financial year 2006, as a result of the further expansion of the Group’s services activities and against the background of a nascent economic revival. ————————————————————————— Informationen und Erläuterungen des Emittenten zu dieser Ad-Hoc-Mitteilung: About CANCOM Established in 1992, the CANCOM Group is a leading provider of IT infrastructure and services.
