The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— CANCOM IT Systeme AG’s sales and profits up * EUR 107.8 million sales in the first half of 2005, compared with EUR 100.0 million in first half of 2004 (up 7.8 percent) * EUR 1.0 million positive EBIT in the first half of 2005, compared with EUR 0.5 million in first half of 2004 (up 96 percent) * EUR 0.5 million profit in the first half of 2005, compared with EUR 0.0 million in first half of 2004 Jettingen-Scheppach, Germany, 28 July 2005 The CANCOM Group has continued its growth in the first half year of 2005. Group sales, both in the second quarter and over the first six months of the year 2005, are significantly higher than last year. In the first half of the year, Group sales increased by 7.8 percent, from EUR 100.0 million to EUR 107.8 million. Of this figure, EUR 54.2 million was achieved in the second quarter of 2005, compared with EUR 48.3 million in the same quarter of the previous year (an increase of 12.2 percent). Group earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in the first half of 2005 were up on the same period last year, increasing from EUR 1.3 million to EUR 1.7 million. Group earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) rose in the first half-year to EUR 1.0 million, an increase of 96 percent in comparison with the same period of 2004. Group EBIT for the second quarter of 2005 was EUR 0.4 million, compared with EUR 0.2 million in the previous year. The Group made a profit of EUR 0.5 million in the first half of 2005, up from zero profit over the same period last year.
