The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— CANCOM IT Systeme AG’s sales and profits up * EUR 161.3 million sales in the first nine months of 2005, compared with EUR 150.3 million in the same period last year (up 7.3 percent) * EUR 31.3 million gross income in the first nine months of 2005, compared with EUR 25.3 million in the same period last year (up 23.7 percent) * EUR 1.5 million positive EBIT in the first nine months of 2005, compared with EUR 0.7 million in the same period last year (up 123.1 percent) Jettingen-Scheppach, Germany, 27 October 2005 – The CANCOM Group has set the objective of growth and it remained firmly on course for achieving it during the first nine months of the current financial year. Group sales and income surpassed the reference figures for the previous year, both in the third quarter and in the first nine months of 2005. In the first nine months of the year, Group sales increased by 7.3 percent from EUR 150.3 million to EUR 161.3 million. Group sales in the third quarter of 2005 amounted to EUR 53.5 million in comparison with EUR 50.3 million in the third quarter of 2004 (up 6.4 percent). The gross margin developed very positively, with an increase from 16.8 percent to 19.4 percent on a 9-month basis. This marked improvement in profitability is due to the successful expansion of IT services business. It has driven up gross income by 23.7 percent to EUR 31.3 million. Group earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased in the first nine months of the year in comparison with the same period of 2004 by EUR1.9 million to EUR 2.7 million. As a result, Group EBITDA in the third quarter of 2005 was up to EUR 1.0 million, compared with EUR 0.5 million in the third quarter of 2004. Group earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) in the first nine months of 2005 amounted to EUR 1.5 million and thus were almost double the figure reported for the same period last year. EBIT was depressed by non-recurring restructuring costs in the amount of EUR 0.3 million relating to the integration of acquisitions. In the absence of this effect, EBIT of EUR 1.8 million (up 166.6 percent) and EBITDA of EUR 3.0 million (up 61.5 percent) would have been reported. In the third quarter of 2005, Group EBIT increased to EUR 0.5 million, which is also more than double the figure for the same quarter of 2004.
