The recent favorable ratings awarded to content- management software vendor PIRONET NDH by Frost & Sullivan and the Gartner Group not only reflect the views held by these internationally renowned research institutes but are also justified by the Company’s sales success. In spite of the difficult state of the sector, revenues came in at just over EUR 24 million in 2001, slightly down on the previous year (EUR 24.7 million). New business was very gratifying, with several targe-scale orders received from prestigious customers. At the end of the year, PIRONET NDH had order books worth EUR 7.5 million up from EUR 3.5 million as at September 30, 2001. This represents the highest figure in its history, forming a solid business basis for the new fiscal year. PIRONET NDH also performed successfully in the final quarter of last fiscal year. On the basis of preliminary figures, it entered the black on the EBIT level in the final quarter, meaning that earnings have continued the trend in evidence in the third quarter (+ EUR 0.8 million). Even so, the Company still posted a small full-year loss on the EBIT level, but broke even in EBT terms. Thus, substantial improvements were achieved over the previous year on both these levels.
