In terms of Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (“Listing Regulations”), we wish to inform you that based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors, vide circular resolution passed today, i.e. on March 31, 2021, has approved the appointment of Mr. Thomas Videbaek (DIN: 0009110625) as an Additional Director (Non‐Executive Independent Director) on the Board of Directors of the Company for a term of 5 (five) years with effect from March 31, 2021, subject to approval of the shareholders of the Company.

Mr. Thomas fulfills the criteria of independence as required under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and the Rules framed thereunder and the Listing Regulations.

Disclosure required pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Listing Regulations read with Para A of Part A of Schedule III to the Listing Regulations read with the SEBI Circular having reference no. CIR/CFD /CMD /4/2015 dated September 9, 2015, with regard to change in Directors and Key Managerial Personnel are annexed herewith as Annexure ‘A’ .

Brief Profile	Mr. Thomas Videbæk, born 1960, is currently the Executive VicePresident of Business Development for Novozymes, where he isresponsible for nurturing and realizing the potential of thecompany’s new platforms. A chemical engineer with an eye for thenext big idea and great business solution, Thomas comes to role fromthe company’s former BioBusiness, which he headed from 2007‐2013 and which encompassed business ventures outside ofNovozymes’ established areas. Previously, he developed diverse keyfunctions within the organization, spanning both the commercial andoperational side of the business. He was Vice President of Sales &Customer Solutions from 2005‐2007 and served as Vice President forSupply Chain Operations from 2003‐2005, where he helped build aglobal organization for Novozymes’ supply chain. From 1998‐2003,during the demerger, Thomas served as both Vice President forCereal Food and Beverage Marketing and General Manager forNovozymes Switzerland. In Novo Nordisk A/S, Thomas’ rolesincluded Director for Strategic Marketing, Food and Feed enzymes,where he set strategy for the food and feed industries. He alsoworked in a leadership position within the starch and textilebusinesses, the latter in the company’s U.S. operations.Mr. Thomas holds a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering fromthe Technical University of Denmark, as well as a B.Com. inInternational Business from Copenhagen Business School. Hecurrently serves as member of the board of Evolva AG.
