Change of dividend date

In the Report and Accounts for the year to 28 February 2017, the board proposed a final dividend for 2017 of 4.25 pence per eligible D share. The record date was stated to be the 14 July 2017 and the payment date was due to be 4 August 2017 subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting.

Payment of the final dividend was also subject to the merger of the share classes as the 4.25 pence dividend was also payable to D shareholders who were originally Ordinary and C shareholders. As clearance from HMRC has not yet been received the share class merger and dividend payment is being delayed.

A further announcement will be released on receipt of HMRC clearance informing shareholders of the new record date and payment date of the dividend. It is intended that these dates will be as soon as possible after HMRC clearance is received.
