The shares (the “Shares”) to be registered hereunder are common shares of beneficial interest, without par value, of Calamos Global Total Return Fund (the “Registrant”). A description of the Shares is contained under the heading “Description of Securities” in the prospectus included in the Registrant’s Registration Statement on Form 497 filed under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, on February 29, 2012 (Registration Nos. 333-174431 and 811-21547, respectively), which description is incorporated herein by reference.
