Harbour Centre Development Limited This announcement informs the shareholders of Harbour Centre Development Limited (the "Company") on the reasons for the suspension of trading in the ordinary shares of the Company. At the request of the Company, trading in the ordinary shares of the Company on the Exchange was suspended with effect from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, 16th July, 1999. The directors of the Company announce that the Company's parent company, The Wharf (Holdings) Limited, is in preliminary discussions with the Company regarding the possible privatisation of the Company by way of a scheme of arrangement involving the cancellation of all the ordinary shares in the Company not held ultimately by its parent company. Shareholders of the Company should note that as yet no formal proposal has been made or any decision taken in this regard and that the proposed privatisation may or may not happen. An application will be submitted to the Exchange requesting the resumption of trading in the ordinary shares as soon as practicable. Until such time, the ordinary shares will remain suspended.
