(1) The turnover and profit from operations of HK$445.0 million and
HK$202.4 million for the year ended 31st December, 2004 respectively and
HK$308.7 million and HK$111.5 million for the previous year respectively
were all generated from continuing operations.

(2) The calculation of earnings per share is based on the profit for
the year of HK$250.7 million (2003: HK$169.4 million) and on 315.0
million (2003: 315.0 million) ordinary shares in issue throughout the
year. For the year under review and the preceding year, there is no
difference between the basic and diluted earnings per share.
