BOARD CHANGES
The Directors of BWP Management Limited, the responsible entity for the BWP Trust, announce the retirement of Mr Peter Mansell with effect from close of business today.
Mr Mansell has been involved with the Trust since it was first established in 1998 and was one of the original directors of the Responsible Entity. During his 15 year involvement, the Trust grew from 20 initial properties worth $170 million to over 80 properties worth more than $1.6 billion.
The Board acknowledges his significant commitment and contribution to the Board and to BWP Trust and wish him well in his retirement.
The Board is pleased to take this opportunity to announce that Mr John Atkins has consented to join the BWP Management Limited Board from 1 April 2014 as a non-executive, external director.
Mr Atkins is a professional company director and has had a career as a corporate lawyer spanning more than 25 years including Head of Office, Freehills, in Perth and Melbourne. He has significant experience in listed company governance, finance, M&A advice and corporate transactions.
Mr Atkins, FAICD, holds an LL.B from the University of Western Australia and an LL.M from London University.
Mr Atkins was previously the Chairman, Western Australia, of ANZ Bank and is a non-executive director of a number of listed and unlisted entities, including Aurora Oil & Gas Limited, Lotterywest (Chairman), Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia, Australian Finance Group Ltd, Minotaur Exploration Ltd and Committee for Perth Ltd.
