BOARD APPOINTMENTS

The directors of BWP Management Limited, the responsible entity for BWP Trust, today announced the appointments of Ms Fiona Harris and Mr Tony Howarth as non-executive directors of the responsible entity with effect from 1 October 2012.

A professional non-executive director for the past 17 years, Ms Harris has held board positions for over 25 companies, is a former member of the national board of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a former WA State President. She is currently Chairman of Barrington Consulting Group Pty Ltd, a company providing consulting services in the areas of strategy and governance; director of ASX listed companies Altona Mining Limited, Aurora Oil & Gas Ltd, Infigen Energy Limited Group and Sundance Resources Ltd; and director of private company Perron Group Limited. Ms Harris is an external director and brings a wealth of experience in ASX listed company governance, corporate actions, financial reporting and risk management.

Mr Howarth is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and has over 30 years’ experience in the banking and finance industry. Mr Howarth is a director of Wesfarmers Limited, which wholly-owns the responsible entity and owns approximately 24.1 per cent of the issued units in BWP Trust. Mr Howarth is Chairman of Mermaid Marine Australia Limited and has held a number of directorships of other listed companies in the past. During his career, he has held several senior management positions including Managing Director of Challenge Bank Limited and Chief Executive Officer of Hartleys Limited. Mr Howarth will replace the current Wesfarmers nominated director, Mr Peter Johnston, who intends retiring from the Board later this calendar year.
