Notification of transactions by persons discharging managerial responsibilities

Burford Capital Limited ("Burford"), the leading global finance and investment management firm focused on law, has been notified of certain estate planning transactions by Christopher P. Bogart, Burford's Chief Executive Officer, and Jonathan Molot, Burford's Chief Investment Officer, that do not have any impact on their ultimate interests in Burford shares.

Mr Bogart transferred 7,897,727 of his ordinary shares in Burford to Christopher Bogart LLC, a company wholly-owned by Mr Bogart. All of the ownership interests in Christopher Bogart LLC were then transferred by Mr. Bogart to the Christopher P. Bogart 2018 Trust for a period, of which he is initially the sole beneficiary.

Following these transfers, Mr. Bogart's interest in shares in Burford through certain trusts' ownership interests remains unchanged at 8,786,290 shares, representing approximately 4.22% of Burford's issued share capital.

As announced previously, Mr Molot transferred 4,000,000 ordinary shares in Burford to Jonathan Molot LLC, a company wholly-owned by Mr Molot, and all of the ownership interests in the LLC were then transferred by Mr Molot to the Jonathan T. Molot 2017 Trust for a period, of which he is initially the sole beneficiary. Now, 0.9319% of the ownership interests in Jonathan Molot LLC have been returned from the Jonathan T. Molot 2017 Trust to Mr. Molot in addition to the return of further interests as notified on 21 March 2018, and Mr Molot has transferred a 24.1333% interest in Jonathan Molot LLC to the Jonathan T. Molot 2018 Trust, of which Mr Molot is initially the sole beneficiary.

Following these transfers, Mr Molot's interest in shares in Burford, including his interests held through the trusts' ownership interests, remains unchanged at 8,559,394 shares, representing approximately 4.11% of Burford's issued share capital.

Ongoing annual movement of interests between the LLC entities and the trusts is expected as a normal part of the US estate planning undertaken.

The Notification of Dealing Forms for each of the transfers mentioned above are included at the end of this announcement. These notifications are provided in accordance with the requirements of the Market Abuse Regulation.
