Director purchase of shares

Burford Capital Limited (the "Company") announces that, on 19 September 2014, the Company was notified, in accordance with DTR 3.1.2 R, that Hugh Steven Wilson (non-executive director and Vice Chairman of the Company) had bought 50,000 ordinary shares of the Company (the "Ordinary Shares") on 19 September 2014 at £1.23 per Ordinary Share.  Following this purchase, Mr Wilson now holds 200,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing approximately 0.10% of the issued Ordinary Share Capital of the Company.
