Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, February 29, 2016 – Bureau Veritas is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of the HCD Group, a leading provider of building compliance services in the UK.
The HCD Group offers a comprehensive range of services, including building control approved inspector services, fire safety engineering, CDM (Construction, Design, and Management) regulation consultancy and engineering services. It serves construction companies and developers as well as clients with property portfolios.
Created in 1993, the company is based in Cardiff and has nine locations in England and Wales. It employs 88 people and has posted a revenue of around EUR 10 million in 2015.
"HCD is established as the leader in its market niche. The acquisition will significantly strengthen the Bureau Veritas offering in the UK, providing clients with multiple service solutions. It is aligned with the Group's 2020 strategic plan, aiming notably at further expanding our services in development", said Didier Michaud-Daniel, CEO of Bureau Veritas.
Following this acquisition, Bureau Veritas now has 1,265 employees in the United Kingdom.
