Appointment of Jacques Pommeraud and Laurent Louail effective May 1, 2018

Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, April 25, 2018 – Bureau Veritas announces the appointment, effective May 1, 2018, of:

• Jacques Pommeraud, as Executive Vice President, in charge of the Commodities, Industry & Facilities division in France and Africa as well as the Government Services and International Trade operating group. Jacques Pommeraud will be a member of the Group Executive Committee.
• Laurent Louail, as Executive Vice President, in charge of the Commodities, Industry & Facilities division in South & West Europe(1). Laurent Louail will be a member of the Group Executive Committee.

These appointments follow the reorganization of the Commodities, Industry & Facilities division in Europe. Activities will be divided into two newly created operating groups encompassing Bureau Veritas operations in Africa as well as Government Services.

Jacques Lubetzki, Executive Vice President, currently in charge of Commodities, Industry & Facilities in Europe will leave the Group as of July 31, 2018. Until that time, Jacques Lubetzki will be appointed Special Advisor, gradually transitioning his current responsibilities in Europe to Jacques Pommeraud and Laurent Louail.

Jacques Pommeraud

Before joining Bureau Veritas, Jacques Pommeraud worked in SAP, as Senior Vice President Customer Success. He started his career in strategy consulting with McKinsey & Company in Paris and Boston. In 2009, he joined Atos as Chief Lean Officer and held management positions of increasing responsibilities up to Chief Executive Officer of Canopy Cloud, a joint-venture between Atos, EMC2 and VMware. In 2014, he was appointed Senior Vice President & General Manager, Success Services at Salesforce Inc, based in San Francisco, USA. Jacques Pommeraud, 42, holds an MScEng degree from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (France) and an MBA from INSEAD (France).

Laurent Louail

Since September 2015, Laurent Louail has been Senior Vice President for Commodities, Industry & Facilities, Pacific Region, based in Melbourne, Australia. He joined Bureau Veritas in 1995 as Regional Industry Manager in France. He then held management positions of increasing responsibilities in France at the regional level, up to Senior Vice President of France Geographical Network in 2013. Laurent Louail, 52, received his MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC, France).
