Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and other applicable provisions, we would like to inform that, SEBI vide its Letter No. SEBI/HO/MRD/RAC2/P/OW/2025/8647/1 dated March 20, 2025 (received today i.e. March 21, 2025), has approved the re-appointment of Justice (Retd.) Shiavax Jal Vazifdar as Public Interest Director on the Board of BSE Limited for a further period of three (3) years with effect from May 19, 2025.

Disclosure required as per SEBI Circular SEBI/HO/CFD/CFD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/123 dated July 13, 2023 is enclosed as Annexure I.

BRIEF PROFILE

Justice (Retd.) Shiavax Jal Vazifdar studied in Rishi Valley School and in St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. After obtaining a BA he did his LL.B. from the Hinduja Law College, Mumbai. He enrolled as an advocate on the rolls of Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa on October 17, 1980. He practised as an advocate mainly in the Bombay High Court on both, the Original Side and the Appellate Side.

Justice (Retd.) Shiavax Jal Vazifdar was sworn in as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on January 22, 2001, was confirmed as a Judge of the Court on January 22, 2003, and continued working as a Judge of the Bombay High Court till December 14, 2014.

Justice (Retd.) Shiavax Jal Vazifdar was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court from December 15, 2014, and continued working in that position till he was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Punjab Haryana High Court on August 7, 2016. He retired as the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on May 3, 2018.
