Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (Listing Regulation), we would like to inform you that, the Governing Board in its meeting held on June 9, 2020 and Shareholders of the Company in 15[th] Annual General Meeting of the Company held on July 30, 2020 had approved appointment of Shri T. C. Suseel Kumar (DIN: 06453310) as Shareholder Director on the Board of the Company, subject to approval of the Securities and Exchange Board of India(SEBI), pursuant to Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2018.

The Company has received today, SEBI approval vide letter dated October 6, 2020, and accordingly, Shri T. C. Suseel Kumar’s appointment as Shareholder Director of the Company has been effective from today, i.e. from Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Brief profile of Shri T. C. Suseel Kumar, is attached herewith as Annexure I, Further, details required under Regulation 30 of Listing Regulations read with SEBI Circular No. CIR/CFD/CMD/4/2015 dated September 9, 2015 are enclosed herewith as Annexure II.

Profile of Mr.T.C. Suseel Kumar

Shri T.C. Suseel Kumar is a Managing Director of Life insurance Corporation of India since March 2019. During his illustrious career of more than 35 years, he has successfully managed multiple crucial portfolios in LIC and left behind highly significant footprints across the organisation.

As a Managing Director he manages key portfolios of LIC, including Marketing/Product Development, Investment, Corporate Planning/New Projects, Audit and Subsidiaries viz IDBI Bank Limited, LIC Pension Fund Limited, LIC HFL AMC Limited – to name a few.

After Mr Suseel Kumar took over as Managing Director, LIC saw a striking growth of 25% in first year premium collections and an increase in market share by 2.50% to 69%, reflecting his strong leadership abilities. He has also been instrumental in redefining the business proposition of LIC that earned LIC the ‘Best Life Insurer Award’ by many leading agencies during this year. He has been influential in guiding, planning and executing growth strategies, while being on the Boards of LIC Mutual Fund Trustee Private Limited, LIC HFL Asset Management Company Limited, LIC Pension Fund Limited, Life Insurance Corporation (Lanka) Limited , National Insurance Academy and Insurance Institute of India.

He is also on the Board of Axis Bank Limited.

His expertise lies in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, customer centricity and talent management.

He has a Masters in Economics, a university rank holder and has completed many management and leadership courses from various IIMs, ISBs and Asian Institute of Management, Manila on various occasions.
