WAH NAM TAKEOVER UPDATE

Australian iron ore company Brockman Resources Limited (ASX Code: BRM – “Brockman” or “the Company”) notes the decision of the Takeovers Panel released to the market yesterday.

Brockman awaits the release of the Takeovers Panel’s full reasons for its decision which will be available at takeovers.gov.au

At all times, the board of Brockman has taken action in the interests of all its shareholders and will continue to do so. In particular, Brockman will continue to closely monitor its register, as well as monitoring any acceptances of Wah Nam’s offer.

The decision of the Takeovers Panel has no impact on the recommendation of the Board that Brockman shareholders DO NOT ACCEPT the Wah Nam offer. To do so shareholders should disregard any documents that they receive from Wah Nam.

The volume weighted average price of Wah Nam shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for the 7 days ending 1 February 2011 was equivalent to A$0.172, making the implied price of the bid A$5.17 per Brockman share. This represents a premium of only A$0.03 to the Brockman share price at the close of trade on 1 February 2011, of A$5.14 per share.

The Wah Nam bid remains highly conditional. The offer has been extended to 16 February and as at the date of this announcement, Wah Nam has not advised that it has received any material acceptances in the two and a half months the bid has been open.
