The British Land Company PLC announces that following John Gildersleeve's appointment as Chairman, Lord Turnbull, an Independent Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, has replaced him as Senior Independent Director.

John Gildersleeve has also stepped down from the Remuneration Committee and is replaced on that Committee by William Jackson, an Independent Non-executive Director, moving across from the Audit Committee.

These changes occur with effect from Monday, 14th January 2013.
