Overview of operations

The Brightstar gold plant was under maintenance for the first part of the quarter to refurbish the draft tubes in readiness for the toll treatment of ore from NEX.

Toll treatment of NEX ore commenced on 21st February 2012

Gold produced totaling 203 ounces resulted from remnant ore processed and clean out of the CIL tanks

Exploration

During the last month of the quarter exploration drilling commenced on the northern tenements as part of the 100,000 metres of exploration programme.

By the end of the quarter 620 metres had been drilled at Cork Tree Well (Delta Resource). A second rig is due to be commencing drilling after April.

An exploration programme (with more than 100,000 metres) is currently underway and progressing according to budget and plan

An underground scoping study was commissioned for potential ore at teh Alpha pit. This report is currently under consideration by the board
