Dear Sir / Madam,

Mr Peter Thomas has resigned as a Director of A1 Minerals Limited with effect 6 December 2007. His letter of resignation cites that he has been working towards semi-retirement over the last 4 years and other conflicting commitments dictate that he should retire at this time.

Mr Thomas was a foundation investor and original Director of A1. When the company was in its formative years, he provided invaluable support to the Board and management at that time, facilitating A1’s successful listing on the ASX in December 2003. A1’s Board wishes to express its thanks for Mr Thomas’ significant contribution.

In recognition of that contribution and having regard to the low level of Directors’ fees which have been drawn by Directors over the years, A1’s Board has resolved (subject to shareholder approval), to issue Mr Thomas with 1,000,000 options to acquire ordinary shares in A1. The options will be exercisable by payment of 40 cents each on or before 31 December 2009. These options can not be issued to Mr Thomas without shareholder approval. At this stage a specific general meeting is not planned so this matter will come before the company’s next General Meeting.

Attached for release is an Appendix 3z ‘Final Director’s Interest Notice’ for Mr Thomas.
