PURCHASE OF ERLISTOUN MINING LEASE

The directors of Regis Resources Ltd are pleased to advise that the Company has completed a transaction to acquire mining lease M38/802 from A1 Minerals Limited for $1 million, payable in cash.

This lease is strategically important to Regis as it is reported to contain an Inferred Resource of 32,250 ounces of gold and is contiguous with the Regis’ Erlistoun mining lease where the Company has an Inferred Resource of 224,000 ounces of gold.

The Erlistoun project is located approximately 45 kilometres south of the Company’s proposed processing plant at Moolart Well. As reported in the Company’s June 2009 quarterly report, a review of the Erlistoun resources is underway and will form the basis of a mining study in due course.
