SALE OF GOLD PROPERTIES - DUKETON BELT

The directors advise that the sale of the Group's gold exploration properties in the Laverton and Leonora area (held by wholly owned subsidiary, Bronzewing Gold Ltd) to A1 Minerals Limited (AAM) has been completed.

An agreement for the sale was announced on 5 December 2005. Under the terms of the agreement consideration for the sale comprises \$100,000 cash and 2 million ordinary fully paid shares in AAM (subject to AAM shareholder approval which was obtained on 22 May 2006). These shares are subject to a 12 month voluntary escrow period.

Disposal of these Duketon Belt mineral interests and the sale of the Perseverance project to Navigator Resources Ltd. will enable West Australian Metals Ltd to focus on its new project acquisitions.
