In Brief
The financial year 2012-2013 was a challenging period for Stone Resources Australia Limited (SRAL). We encountered difficulties with operation as well as with funding.
Thanks to the diligence of the Company staff and shareholders, most of the problems were resolved.
The company's main achievements
- Payout all debts of A1 Minerals Ltd;
- Expansion of gold resources via exploration activities;
- Remediation of long-standing environmental issues that have been inherited on various mining leases;
- Upgrading the processing mill to prepare for the earliest possible production commencement date;
- Submission of a proposal to mine at the Ben Hur Deposit, north of Laverton.
1, Settlement of all debts and appropriate allocation of funds
- An agreement was reached to payout major mining contractor, Watpac Civil & Mining Ltd. Payout totaled approximately \$14m.
- From November 2011 to October 2013, an injection of funds totaling (approximately) \$19m has been provided by our controlling shareholder. The funds are used to support daily operation, exploration projects, to manage debt disputes.
- More than \$2m has been spent on equipment for the processing mill upgrade.

3, Addressing Environmental Issues
SRAL has made considerable progress in rectifying non-compliances identified by the Department of Mines and Petroleum at its various sites. The majority of these noncompliances have been inherited by previous tenement holders. The underlying goal is to achieve approval to mine the Ben Hur deposit whilst simultaneously achieving statutory compliance across all its sites.
