ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE MARKET

We wish to confirm that the merger transaction between Perdigão and Sadia, which resulted in the constitution of BRF-Brasil Foods S.A., is on the agenda of the 495 th ordinary adjudication session of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) to be held this Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

BRF will maintain the market informed as to developments on the matter in question .
