Appointment of CEO

Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX:IEC, “IEC” “the Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. James L. Shedd, Jr. ("Jim") as its new CEO to be stationed in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He will re-locate and commence work from early January.

Jim graduated in business from the University of Maryland, USA, and after serving as a combat engineer and productivity analyst in the US Armed Forces, has spent the last 20 years in the mining industry specialising in general mine, turnaround and productivity management. Jim also holds an MBA from Regis University, Colorado, USA. He has lived and worked in over 14 countries worldwide including Tanzania, Indonesia and Australia. His last positions have been in Indonesia, Senegal and Western Australia as a performance improver in mines on behalf of McKinsey Consultants.

Jim will take over from current acting CEO, Mark McAndrew, who will return to being COO and Executive Director of IEC and will work closely with Jim Shedd in the development of coal mining activities in Tanzania.

The Company welcomes this appointment at a time where there is a current rapid expansion of mining activities to meet substantially increased product demand, leading to new sales contracts, and the development of the Ngaka Power Station. IEC is working closely with its strategic State partner, the National Development Corporation of Tanzania, and jointly with Sinohydro Corporation in the power station project. Jim brings to the Tanzanian team strong performance and efficiency coaching skills which will further empower the Tanzanian management and workforce to make the Tancoal mining operations a real example of achievement by Tanzania.
