Brambles Limited Acknowledges Class Action

On 23 April 2018, Brambles advised the market of media reports noting that Slater & Gordon and litigation funder IMF Bentham had announced a potential case against Brambles in relation to its FY17 guidance issued on 18 August 2016.

Brambles advises that it has today been served with class action proceedings filed in the Federal Court.

The proceedings have been filed by Slater & Gordon on behalf of certain shareholders who acquired an interest in Brambles shares between 18 August 2016 and 17 February 2017 .

The statement of claim alleges contraventions of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) in relation to misleading or deceptive conduct and continuous disclosure obligations relating to Brambles FY17 guidance.

Brambles strongly believes that it has at all times complied with its continuous disclosure, Corporations Act and other regulatory obligations and will therefore vigorously defend the proceedings brought against it.
