Braemar Shipping Services PLC (LSE: BMS), a leading international provider of knowledge and skills-based services to the shipping, marine, energy, offshore and insurance industries announces that the Company was informed on 21 June 2016 that on 20 June 2016 the trustee of the Employee Share Ownership Plan ("ESOP") released 17,440 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company ("Shares") to James Kidwell, Chief Executive of the Company.

The release of the Shares was made following the vesting, on 14 May 2016, of the Shares awarded to James Kidwell at nil cost under the Company's Deferred Bonus Plan in relation to the year ended 28 February 2013.

James Kidwell elected to have 7,848 Shares withheld by the ESOP in order to satisfy the tax liability arising over the vesting of this award. Accordingly, the trustee transferred 9,592 Shares to James Kidwell.

Following this announcement, James Kidwell holds 124,217 Shares, equivalent to 0.4% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
