Appointment of Finance Director

Braemar Shipping Services plc (LSE: BMS), a leading international provider of broking, financial, consultancy, technical and logistics services to the shipping, marine, energy, offshore and insurance industries, is pleased to announce that Nick Stone has been appointed as Group Finance Director.

Nick will join the Company, and be appointed to the Board, following his release from his current employment, which is expected to be in the second quarter of 2019.  The date will be confirmed in due course.  Following a handover period, James Hayward, interim Chief Financial Officer, will leave the Company. 

Nick is an experienced Finance Director with substantial experience in both knowledge and skill-based services businesses and public companies.  He is currently Group Chief Financial Officer of The Appointment Group Limited and has previously been a director of Hornby PLC, prior to which he held various positions, including that of Group Finance Director, over eleven years with KBC Advanced Technologies Plc.

The Company is also continuing its process to appoint a new Non-Executive Chairman and a further announcement will be made in due course.

Save for the past directorship of Hornby PLC mentioned above, Braemar confirms that there are no disclosures to be made in respect of Nick for the purposes of Listing Rule 9.6.13.
