BPER BANCA AND BANCO DI SARDEGNA FINALISE SALE OF MERCHANT ACQUIRING AND POS MANAGEMENT BUSINESS TO NEXI
Modena - 29 December 2022. Further to the press release issued on 1 June 2022, BPER Banca S.p.A. ("BPER Banca") and Banco di Sardegna S.p.A. ("Banco di Sardegna") inform that, having obtained the relevant regulatory authorisations, they have signed the comprehensive deeds of transfer of their respective merchant acquiring and POS management businesses to the Nexi Group, with Banco di Sardegna additionally signing a deed of transfer of the entire share capital of Numera Sistemi e Informatica S.p.A. to the Nexi Group (as a whole, the "Transaction").
The Transaction will be effective from 31 December 2022, with 1 January 2023 thus marking the start of the long-term strategic partnership agreement with the Nexi Group in the merchant acquiring business.
