ECB authorization to proceed with early repayment

Modena – 4 December 2020. BPER Banca S.p.A would like to announce that, in accordance with the relative offer documentation, it has obtained from the European Central Bank ("ECB") the authorization to proceed with the exercise of the CALL option, with date effect 15 December 2020, on the subordinated bond "Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna Subordinato Tier II 4.25% 15/06/2015 - 15/06/2025 Callable", identified by the ISIN code IT0005108060, with consequent early redemption of the aforementioned bond at par (100% of the nominal value).

Therefore, the bond will be repaid in advance of the deadline of 15 June 2025 and the resulting amount will be credited with a value date of 15 December 2020.
