NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER APPOINTED AT BPER BANCA

Modena – 7 September 2023. BPER Banca informs that, at its meeting today, the Board of Directors appointed Deputy General Manager, Gian Luca Santi, to serve as Chief Financial Officer.

A graduate in Economics and Commerce, Gian Luca Santi started his professional career as part of the Central Management of Banca Commerciale Italiana (now Intesa Sanpaolo). After gaining management experience at first with the Ferruzzi Finanziaria/Montedison Group, then at Rolo Banca and Banca Popolare di Novara, Mr. Santi held the role of Deputy General Manager at Banca Antonveneta and was a member of ABN-AMRO's Top Executive Group from 2003 to 2008. Mr. Santi's professional path continued at Monte dei Paschi di Siena and later at Unipol Gruppo S.p.A. as General Manager, where he fulfilled managerial duties in the areas of Strategic Planning, Management Control, M&A, Investor Relations and Communication.

Since October 2022, Mr. Santi has been Deputy General Manager of BPER Banca S.p.A. At present, Mr. Santi also holds the positions of member of the Board of Directors of Arca Holding S.p.A., Bancomat S.p.A. and the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund (Fondo Interbancario di Tutela dei Depositi, FITD).
