Bouygues will continue to play a leading role in telecommunications in France
Vivendi has decided to start negotiations with Altice – Numericable for the acquisition of SFR. Bouygues regrets this choice for the future of the telecoms industry in France.
Over the last few weeks, Bouygues has demonstrated its strong dedication to the telecoms sector by proposing an ambitious industrial project that would have led to the creation of a major digital player in France.
The Group now has to look to the future. More than ever, Bouygues Telecom will continue to play a central role in the French telecoms sector. It has a number of considerable strengths in the mobile business, where the 4G service is proving to be very successful thanks to its wide coverage. The same is true of the fixed business, where the strong performance of the €19.99 plan endorses its strategic choices.
Bouygues Telecom has the determination and the means to lead an ambitious strategic and technological project, that will stimulate telecoms in France.
