EXPLORATION UPDATE - JUNE 2015

·    Results in from latest fieldwork programme in Orapa, Botswana on PLs206-210/2014

·    Strong anomaly identified on PL210/2014

·    Q3/Q4 drill programme being established for PL210 anomaly

·    Further exploration work will continue on PLs 206 & 207

·    Anomalies on new Gope licences identified; drill targets being determined

The Directors of Botswana Diamonds (AIM: BOD) are pleased to announce an update on the exploration fieldwork recently completed in Botswana by Sunland Minerals.

Sunland Minerals is a joint venture between Botswana Diamonds and Alrosa and the fieldwork was carried out by a combined team of geologists on Prospecting Licences PLs 206-210 in the Orapa region. Work on the ground comprised of heavy concentrate sampling of soil, hard rock sampling, in-field mineralogical analysis, electromagnetic surveying and ground magnetic surveying.

The results of the follow-up analysis conducted by the joint venture team on both the geophysics and geochemistry highlight a strong geological anomaly on PL210, considered prospective for the discovery of kimberlite and will be drilled in September 2015.

On both PL206 and 207, further soil sampling and electromagnetic work is required to establish the source of the kimberlite indicator minerals.

In addition to the next stage of exploration in Orapa, work will also begin in Gope on PLs 135 and 136 where two magnetic anomalies have been identified. A rapid programme of soil sampling and transient electromagnetic surveying will be conducted to confirm the anomalies and the precise drill targets.

John Teeling, Executive Chairman, comments, "We have identified a very strong anomaly on PL210, which we will drill.  The new ground that we have acquired in Gope also looks very promising.  The ongoing joint venture with Alrosa goes from strength to strength."

This release has been approved by Benjamin Mosigi, MSc (Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology), who is a member of the Geological Society of South Africa.
