Boom Logistics profit revision
Boom Logistics today announced that the full year result for the year ended 30 June 2007 has been further impacted by heavy rain, high winds and flooding along the east coast of Australia. Extreme weather conditions experienced over the past 5 months has caused unplanned outages and has delayed the expected resumption of planned maintenance activities by many customers as they have prioritised the recovery of lost production output.
The performance of the business has also been hampered by delays in receipt of new equipment as a consequence of worldwide supply shortages.
The full year NOPAT result for the year ended 30 June 2007 is expected to range between $36 million - $37 million.
Boom Logistics CEO, Mark Lawrence, said that he was disappointed by the impact of the abnormal weather conditions on the company’s result but remained confident about the outlook for the business and strength of the underlying customer demand profile.
