Mikael Staffas – new CFO at Boliden

Mikael Staffas has been appointed new CFO at Boliden, succeeding Johan Fant who is moving on to the Axel Johnsson Group. Mikael Staffas' most recent position was at the forest industry company Södra, where he has held the position of CFO since 2005.

Mikael Staffas graduated with a B.Sc. from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, after which he spent 14 years working in various positions within the management consultancy firm, McKinsey, the last five as a partner. In addition to his in-depth experience of financial control, risk management and strategy, Mikael has also experience of working with raw materials and logistics – including within the metals industry – gained to a large extent at McKinsey.

Mikael will take up his new position at Boliden in the summer of 2011. Boliden's management would like to thank Johan Fant for all his excellent work during the 2+ years he has spent with the company.
