BLUGLASS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF CHAIRMAN

BluGlass Limited (ASX: BLG) has today announced that its Chairman, George Venardos, will retire from the company’s Board effective 21[st] November 2016, following the Company’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for the same day.

Mr. Venardos has served as Chairman of the Board for the previous six years and prior to this, as a NonExecutive Director since December 2008. The Board has appointed Dr. William Johnson to replace Mr. Venardos as Chairman. Dr. Johnson is currently a Non‐Executive Director and was appointed to the Board in September 2010.

Mr. Venardos noted, “The last six years at BluGlass has seen significant technology milestones being reached and the commencement of a number of major industry collaborations and evaluations; which bodes well for the commercialisation of our unique RPCVD technology. The appointment of Dr. Johnson as my successor as Chairman, will ensure that the Board remains focused on commercialising the RPCVD technology and maximising value for shareholders.”

Chairman Elect, Dr. Johnson said “On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to acknowledge George’s outstanding contribution, leadership, integrity and vision throughout his six‐year tenure as Chairman. George’s leadership has been instrumental in moving the Company from a research business to a more commercially focused enterprise with some very exciting opportunities in the opto-electronics industry.”
