Green Rock appoints Business Development Advisor to source complementary hydrocarbon assets to its existing portfolio

Highlights

• Appointment of highly accomplished Business Development Advisor, Mr Andy Carroll, to indentify hydrocarbon projects to create additional shareholder value.

• Appointment of experienced Director, Mr Gabriel Chiappini, as a Non-Executive Director.

• Existing board restructure in order to strengthen and position the Company for a higher level of activity and growth whilst reducing corporate expenditure.

Green Rock Energy Limited (ASX:GRK) (“Green Rock” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce its recent board and key management changes, representing a commitment by the Company to add value for shareholders.

The Company has restructured the existing board with a clear focus to identify additional assets and extract value from its existing priority geothermal and hydrocarbon projects. Green Rock’s strategy recognises its need to actively review additional projects, with a focus on hydrocarbons, in order to maximise shareholder value.

Mr Carroll has been appointed in the newly created role of Business Development Advisor and Mr Chiappini in the position of Non-Executive Director, both of whom bring significant experience and expertise to the Company.

Business Development Advisor

Mr Carroll is currently the founding Managing Director of consultancy company Australasian Energy Pty Ltd, is a founding Director of public unlisted company Phoenix Oil and Gas, and has over 34 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr Carroll began his career with BP, and has held Board and executive positions with Ausam Resources, Vermilion Oil and Gas Australia and Carpathian Resources, including Managing Director of Great Artesian Oil and Gas (which later merged with Drillsearch Energy Limited). Mr Carroll was responsible for establishing the upstream business of InterOil Corporation in PNG, and advisor to AGL Energy in re-establishing its upstream business.

Mr Carroll holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Engineering and a Post Graduate Degree in Business Law, and has been engaged by Green Rock to focus on the acquisition, development and funding of new hydrocarbon opportunities and to create additional value from the current portfolio.

Director Appointment

At present, Mr Chiappini owns and manages consulting company Laurus Corporate Services which provides ASX, Director and Company Secretarial advice to ASX listed companies. Mr Chiappini is currently a Non-Executive Chairman of Dromana Estate Limited and Company Secretary of numerous ASX listed companies. Mr Chiappini has a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in accounting and finance and been appointed by Green Rock to apply a high level of corporate expertise to the board.

Board Restructure

In support of Green Rock’s future strategy, Mr Adrian Larking has tendered his resignation as Director of Operations with immediate effect but continues as a consultant to the Company and member of the Geothermal Advisory Committee. Mr Richard Beresford will be appointed in the position of Executive Chairman and Mr Jeffrey Schneider will be appointed as Non-Executive Director.

Mr Larking is a geologist and resources lawyer with over 30 years experience in the mineral and petroleum industries and was a founding director of Green Rock. He is highly regarded by the global geothermal industry and will continue to play a key role in the Company’s geothermal activities.
