Brent tops $75 afterdrawdown in US stocks

OIL PRICES ROSE over $2 a barrel on Wednesday after government data showed a largerthan-expected drawdown in US crude inventories, and on expectations demand will rise as vaccination roll-outs widen.

US crude oil stockpiles fell last week to the lowest since September 2019, the US Energy Information Administration said, extending their drawdown after Hurricane Ida's hit late August shut numerous refineries and offshore drilling production.

Brent crude rose $2.12, or 2.9%, to $75.72 a barrel by 11:14 a.m. ET (1514 GMT), while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed $$2.28$ , or 3.3%, to $$72.75$ a barrel.

Earlier in the session, Brent touched $76.13 a barrel, a contract high, and the highest outright price since late July.

US crude and distillate inventories last week fell more than analysts expected, while gasoline stocks also declined, but fell slightly short of analysts' expectations.

Crude inventories fell by 6.4 million barrels in the week to Sept. $10$ to $417.4$ million barrels, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 3.5 million-barrel drop.

पंजाब पुलिस ने राज्य में पिछले 40 दिन के अंदर चौथे टेरर मॉड्यूल को बेनकाब किया है, जो पाकिस्तान की खुफिया एजेंसी आईएसआई के समर्थन से चल रहा था। मामला पिछले महीने अमृतसर और जालंधर के टिफिन बम और आरडीएक्स बरामदगी से जुड़ा है। अमृतसर में 8 अगस्त को तेल के एक टैंकर में हुए ब्लास्ट के पीछे इन्हीं का हाथ था। उसे आईईडी वाला टिफिन बम लगाकर ब्लास्ट किया था। इस राज से पर्दा उठाते हुए पलिस ने 4 आतंकियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। बुधवार को डीजीपी दिनकर गुप्ता ने चंडीगढ़ में प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के जरिए यह जानकारी साझा की है। इनका एक साथी .पहले ही अरेस्ट किया जा चका है। मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने मामले को गंभीरता से लेते हुए पुलिस को हाई अलर्ट पर रहने के निर्देश जारी किए हैं।

हाई अलर्ट के बीच ब्लास्ट, युवक के चीथड़े उड़े

महीने भर में ब्लास्ट की यह दूसरी घटना है। इससे पहले 8 अगस्त को अमंतसर जिले के अजनाला में तेल टैंकर में धर्माका हुआ था। शुरुआती जानकारी के अनुसार, यह धमाका या तो बाइक की टंकी में या फिर टंकी के ऊपर रखे किसी सामान में हुआ है।

आरएसएस-भाजपा हिंदू नहीं: राहुल गांधी

कम्पनी की 29वीं वार्षिक सामान्य बैठक (एजीएम) बृहस्पतिवार, 23 सितम्बर, 2021 को सुबह 10.00 बजे कम्पनी के पंजीकृत कार्यालय उद्योग विहार, पी.ओ. चोरहटा, रीवा – 486 006 (म.प्र.) में आयोजित किए जाने के संबंध में सूचना कम्पनी के सदस्यों को पहले ही प्रेषित की जा चुकी है।

तदुपरान्त, कम्पनी को एक सदस्य, दि पंजाब प्रोड्यूस एण्ड ट्रेडिंग कम्पनी प्राइवेट लिमिटेड, से कम्पनी अधिनियम, 2013 ("अधिनियम") की धारा 160 के अधीन दो सूचना(एं) प्राप्त हुई हैं, जिनमें कम्पनी की आगामी 29वीं एजीएम में डॉ. धनपत राम अग्रवाल (डीआईएनः 00322861) की कम्पनी के निदेशक के पद पर नियुक्ति और चक्रानुक्रम में सेवानिवृत्त हो रहे श्री हर्षवर्धन लोढ़ा (डीआईएनः 00394094) के स्थान पर श्री सतीश प्रधान (डीआईएन: 00175969) की कम्पनी के निदेशक के पद पर नियुक्ति की उम्मीदवारी की सूचना दी गई है तथा ग्राह्य होने के नाते स्वयं को 29वीं एजीएम की सूचना की मद सं. 3 के अनुसार पुनर्नियुक्ति हेतु प्रस्तुत किया है। तदनुसार, डॉ. धनपत राम अग्रवाल और श्री सतीश प्रधान की नियुक्ति हेतु प्रस्ताव मद सं. 5 एवं 6 के रूप में अतिरिक्त विशेष कार्य होंगे, जिनका निष्पादन एजीएम की सूचना दिनांकित 18 जून, 2021 में वर्णितानुसार अन्य कार्य मदों के साथ किया जाएगा।

उपरोक्त सूचनाओं को ध्यानपूर्वक देखने और डॉ. धनपत राम अग्रवाल और श्री सतीश प्रधान की उम्मीदवारी के सावधानीपूर्वक मूल्यांकन के पश्चात. नामांकन एवं पारिश्रमिक समिति और कम्पनी के निदेशक मंडल ने दिनांक 9 सितम्बर, 2021 को आयोजित अपनी संबंधित बैठकों में कम्पनी की आगामी एजीएम में डॉ. धनपत राम अग्रवाल को कम्पनी के निदेशक के पद पर नियुक्ति और चक्रानुक्रम में सेवानिवृत्त हो रहे श्री हर्षवर्धन लोढा के स्थान पर श्री सतीश प्रधान को कम्पनी के निदेशक के पद पर नियुक्ति के "विरोध" में कड़ी सिफारिश की है, जैसा कि दि पंजाब प्रोड्यूस एण्ड ट्रेडिंग कम्पनी प्राइवेट लिमिटेड द्वारा अधिनियम की धारा 160 के अनुसरण में इसकी सूचनाओं दिनांकित 13 अगस्त, 2021 तथा 6 सितम्बर, 2021 में प्रस्तावित किया गया है।

29वीं एजीएम की सूचना का परिशिष्ट कम्पनी के सदस्यों को पहले ही प्रेषित किया जा चुका है, जो कि कम्पनी की वेबसाइट www.birlacable.com पर भी 'Investor Relation' खंड के अंतर्गत उपलब्ध है।

शेयरधारकों का ध्यान 29वीं एजीएम की सूचना के परिशिष्ट के साथ संलग्न किए गए व्याख्यात्मक विवरण की ओर विशेष रूप से आकृष्ट किया जाता है, जिसमें इन प्रस्तावों की पृष्ठभूमि और उसके बारे में नामांकन एवं पारिश्रमिक समिति और कम्पनी के निदेशक मंडल की मान्यता की व्याख्या की गई है।

अतएव, सदस्यों से इसको नोट करने और अपना वोट रिमोट ई—वोटिंग द्वारा अथवा एजीएम में डालने का अनुरोध किया जाता है।
