Appointment of New Director

The Board of The Biotech Growth Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of The Rt Hon. the Lord Willetts as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 11 November 2015.

Lord Willetts is Executive Chairman of the Resolution Foundation and a Visiting Professor at King's College London. He is Governor of the Ditchley Foundation and a member of the Council of the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

He was Minister for Universities and Science, attending Cabinet, from 2010-2014. He was the Member of Parliament for Havant from 1992-2015. Before that, Lord Willetts worked at HM Treasury and the Number 10 Policy Unit. He also served as Paymaster General in the last Conservative Government.

The Chairman of The Biotech Growth Trust PLC, The Rt Hon Lord Waldegrave of North Hill, commented:

His appointment will be proposed to shareholders for election at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held in July 2016.
