On February 18, 2021, BioNTech SE (the “Company”) and Pfizer Inc. announced that that the first participants have been dosed in a global Phase 2/3 study to further evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine (BNT162b2) in preventing COVID-19 in healthy pregnant women 18 years of age and older. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
