On December 2, 2020, BioNTech SE (the “Company”) and Pfizer Inc. announced that the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the U.K. has granted a temporary authorization for emergency use for their COVID-19 mRNA vaccine (BNT162b2), against COVID-19. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

The Company also participated in a press conference and video webcast at 06:30 am CET on December 2, 2020, to provide an update on the status of the COVID-19 vaccine development program of its lead vaccine candidate BNT162b2. The presentation materials are attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
