Bilia's dealership in Sisjön goes exclusive for Volvo

An agreement has been reached with Volvo Personbilar Sverige AB (VPS) to make Bilia's dealership in Sisjön an exclusive Volvo dealership. The operation in Sisjön will be the largest exclusive full-service Volvo dealership in the world. The facility will be modernised and refurbished in order to meet the expectations of Volvo's customers. The cost is estimated at about SEK 30 M. Volvo sales and service operations at the facility in Sisjön are expected to be of sufficient volume for the facility to be dedicated exclusively to Volvo. Under the agreement with VPS, Volvo employees will also be able to buy new cars in Sisjön. The change in Gothenburg is expected to have a marginal effect on Bilia's earnings per share. Recently Bilia also announced a decision to make Bilia in Fornebu, Oslo, an exclusive Volvo dealership at the same time as Skøyen is made an exclusive BMW dealership.

Bilia's Managing Director Per Avander comments:

Furthermore, it is gratifying to be able to announce our decision to invest in an exclusive Volvo dealership in their hometown of Gothenburg. With our new Volvo dealership, we will be a more distinct and accessible full-service supplier for the Volvo customer all the way through his car ownership. We are evaluating the possibility of exclusive representation for Volvo in other locations as well."
