BEL signs MoU with DMRC for joint development of Indigenous Communication-based Train Control System

बेंगलूरु / नई दिल्ली, 7 नवंबर, 2022- नवरत्न रक्षा पीएसयू भारत इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स लिमिटेड (बीईएल) ने आज दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (डीएमआरसी) के साथ स्वदेशी संचार-आधारित टेन नियंत्रण प्रणाली (आई-सीबीटीसी) को संयुक्त रूप से विकसित करने के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किया, जो रेल और मेट्रो संचालन में आत्मनिर्भरता की दिशा में भारत की यात्रा में अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण।

Bengaluru/New Delhi, November 7, 2022: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) for jointly developing the Indigenous Communication-based Train Control System (i-CBTC), an important milestone in India's journey towards self-reliance in Rail and Metro operations.

आई-सीबीटीसी, जिसे भारत में पहली बार स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित किया जा रहा है, जो मेट्रो और टेन के मानव रहित संचालन को सक्षम करेगा। यह मेट्रो और रेल स्वचालन के क्षेत्र में एक बड़ी छलांग है और भारत सरकार के 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' मिशन को बढ़ावा देगा। इस परियोजना को भारत सरकार के आवासन और शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय (एचयूए मंत्रालय) के दायरे में चलाया जा रहा है। समझौता ज्ञापन का उद्देश्य बीईएल और डीएमआरसी की पूरक शक्तियों और क्षमताओं का लाभ उठाना है।

i-CBTC, being indigenously developed for the first time in India, will enable unmanned operations of metro and trains. It is a big leap forward in the field of metro and rail automation and will give a boost to the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' mission of the Government of India. The project is being carried out under the ambit of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India. The MoU aims at leveraging the complementary strengths and capabilities of BEL and DMRC.

Mr Manoj Jain, Director (R&D), BEL, and Mr Om Hari Pandey, Director (Electrical), DMRC, exchanged the MoU in the presence of Mr Raj Kumar Batra, Advisor (DMRC), and senior executives of BEL and DMRC.
