सेबी (एलओडीआर) विनियम, 2015 के विनियम 30(2) के तारतम्य में, आपको सूचित किया जाता है कि रक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने अपने रक्षा मंत्रालय/डीडीपी पत्र संख्या डीडीपी- ई 0032/2/2022-डी (बीईएल) दिनांक 11 जनवरी 2023 द्वारा श्री दामोदर एस भट्टड (डीआईएन: 09780732) को बीईएल के मंडल में निदेशक (वित्त) के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। इस संबंध में, निदेशक मंडल ने दिनांक 11 जनवरी 2023 को पारित परिपत्र संकल्प के माध्यम से 12 जनवरी

2023 से श्री दामोदर एस भट्टड को अतिरिक्त निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्ति किया है।

Pursuant to Regulation 30(2) of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 we wish to inform that Ministry of Defence, Government of India vide its MoD/DDP letter No. DDP-E0032/2/2022-D(BEL) dated 11th January 2023 appointed Shri Damodar S Bhattad (DIN: 09780732) as Director (Finance) on the Board of BEL. In this regard, the Board of Directors appointed Shri Damodar S Bhattad as Additional Director w.e.f $11th$ January 2023 vide its circular resolution passed on $12th$ January 2023.

Mr Damodar Bhattad takes charge as Director (Finance) of BEL

᮰ी दामोदर भᲵड एस ने 11 जनवरी, 2023 को नवर᳀ रᭃा पीएसयूभारत इलेᮝॉिनस िलिमटेड (बीईएल) के िनदशे क (िवᱫ) का कायᭅभार संभाला। वे इस पदो᳖ित सेपहलेबीईएल केकापᲃरेट कापᲃरेट मᱶ महाᮧबंधक (िवᱫ) के ᱨप मᱶ कायᭅरत थे।

Mr Damodar Bhattad S has taken charge as the Director (Finance) of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) with effect from January 11, 2023. He was working as General Manager (Finance) at BEL's Corporate Office prior to his elevation.

᮰ी दामोदर भᲵड एस चाटᭅड एकाउंट ᭅ ᱶट ह और उ ᱹ ᭠हᲂने आईसीएआई कᳱ अंितम परीᭃा मᱶ अिखल भारतीय ᭭तर पर ᭭थान ᮧा᳙ ᳰकया था। मᮤास िव᳡िव᳒ालय से वािण᭔य ᳩातक, उ᭠हᲂने 1988 मᱶ बीईएल कᳱ चे᳖ई यूिनट मᱶ लेखा अिधकारी के पद पर बीईएल मᱶ कायᭅᮕहण ᳰकया और 34 से अिधक वषᲄ तक कं पनी मᱶ िविभ᳖ भूिमकाᲐ और पदᲂ मᱶ सेवा ᮧदान कᳱ।

Mr Damodar Bhattad is a Chartered Accountant, who had secured All India Rank in ICAI final examination. A B.Com Graduate from the University of Madras, he joined BEL as Accounts Officer at its Chennai Unit in 1988 and in a career spanning over 34 years, served the company in various roles and capacities.

बीईएल कापᲃरेट कायाᭅलय मᱶ िवᱫ ᮧमुख के ᱨप मᱶ, उ᭠हᲂने कं पनी कᳱ िविभ᳖ नीितयᲂ और ᮧᳰᮓयाᲐ के िनमाᭅण मᱶ मह᭜वपणू ᭅ भूिमका िनभाई। उ᭠हᲂने िवᱫ वषᭅ 22 मᱶबीईएल को 15,044 करोड़ ᱧपयेतक का अब तक का सवᲃᲬ िवᮓयावतᭅदज करने और ᭅ ᱧ. 50,000 करोड़ से अिधक कᳱ आदशे बही हािसल करनेमᱶ सᳰᮓय सहयोग ᳰदया।

As Head of Finance at BEL Corporate Office, he played a significant role in the formulation of various company policies and procedures. He also played a pivotal role in BEL recording its highest ever turnover of Rs. 15,044 Cr in FY22 and achieving an order book of more than Rs. 50,000 Cr.

िनिध ᮧमुख के ᱨप मᱶ, उ᭠हᲂने कायᭅशील पंजू ी का कु शलतापूवᭅक ᮧबंधन ᳰकया और यह सुिनि᳟त ᳰकया ᳰक बीईएल ऋण मुᲦ रह।े उ᭠हᲂनेऔर उनकᳱ टीम ने िपछले दो वषᲄ (िवᱫ वषᭅ 2021 और 2022) मᱶ उ᭨लेखनीय ᳞ापार ᮧा᭡यᲂ के संᮕह म मह ᱶ ᭜वपणू ᭅ भूिमका िनभाई। उ᭠हᲂने᭥युचुअल फं ड मᱶअिधशषे िनिधयᲂ का िनवेश शुᱨ ᳰकया, िजसके कारण कोष ᮧबंधन से अिधक ᮧितफल ᮧा᳙ ᱟआ।

As Head of Funds, he efficiently managed Working Capital and ensured BEL remained debt free. He and his team played a key role in the efficient collection of Trade Receivables, in the last two years (FY 2021 and 2022). He also initiated investment of surplus funds in Mutual Funds, which increased the company's returns from Treasury Management.

Mr Damodar Bhattad has ensured that adequate internal financial controls are put in place in BEL and the company's Risk Control Matrix is current and updated. He has been a member of various Management Committees — Management Audit Committee, Corporate Risk Management Committee, CSR Screening Committee and Invitee of Audit Committee and Capital Investment Committee to name a few, and has been able to provide valuable insights to BEL Management from the Finance perspective.

᮰ी दामोदर भᲵड एक ᮧमुख परामशᭅदाᮢी फमᭅ के साथ एक ᮧमुख रᭃा सं᭭थान ᳇ारा ह᭭ताᭃᳯरत रणनीितक सलाहकार सेवा संिवदा केसंबधं मᱶ बीईएल कᳱ कारोबार सह िवकास योजना तैयार करने मᱶिवᱫ के अᮕणी सद᭭य थे। वे िविभ᳖ िव᳣ेषकᲂ/िनवेशक स᭥मेलनᲂ मᱶ बीईएल ᮧबंधन टीम का िह᭭सा रह।े उ᭠हᲂने बीईएल को पारंपᳯरक िवᱫीय ᳯरपोटᲈग से बदलकर वषᭅ 2021-22 मᱶ इसकᳱ पहली एकᳱकृत वाᳶषᭅक ᳯरपोटᭅ लाने के अिधक समᮕ दिृ᳥कोण अपनाने तक ᮧमुख भूिमका िनभाई। वे ऐसी पहलᲂ मᱶिव᳡ास करते ह और उनका समथ ᱹ ᭅन करते ह जो ᱹ उᲬ लाभांश भुगतान और आरिᭃत िनिधयᲂ के पूंजीकरण के संदभ मᭅ ᱶ शेयरधारकᲂ को अिधक ᮧितफल ᮧदान करते ह। ᱹ

Mr Damodar Bhattad was Lead Member (Finance) for devising a business-cum-growth plan for BEL with respect to a strategic advisory services contract signed by the Defence major with a leading consultancy firm. He has been an integral part of the BEL Management team at various analysts/investor conferences. He has played a major role in BEL making the leap from conventional financial reporting to the more holistic approach of bringing out its first Integrated Annual Report in 2021-22. He believes and supports initiatives which increase BEL's value for shareholders, in terms of higher Dividend payout and capitalisation of reserves.

बीईएल के पᱶशन ᮝ᭭ट और ᮕे᭒युटी ᮝ᭭ट के सद᭭य और िवᱫ ᮧितिनिध के ᱨप मᱶ, ᮰ी दामोदर भᲵड ने यह सुिनि᳟त ᳰकया ᳰक जोिखम को कम करने और ᮧितफल को अिधकतम करने के िलए ᮝ᭭ट पोटᭅफोिलयो को उिचत ᱨप से िविवधीकृत ᳰकया जाता ह।ै इससेपहले, िवᱫ ᮧमुख (ᮧचालन) के ᱨप मᱶअपने कायᭅकाल के दौरान, उ᭠हᲂने ᮕाहकᲂ केसाथ सिं वदाᲐ और ᮧमुख उपकरणᲂ और ᮧणािलयᲂ कᳱ िबᮓᳱ मू᭨य को अंितम ᱨप दनेेमᱶ मह᭜वपणू ᭅ भूिमका िनभाई। बीईएल कᳱ मू᭨य वाताᭅ सिमित के सद᭭य के ᱨप मᱶ, उ᭠हᲂने आपूᳶतᭅकताᭅᲐ से मह᭜वपणू ᭅ मू᭨य कटौती ᮧा᳙ करने मᱶ मह᭜वपणू ᭅ भूिमका िनभाई। उनका मानना हैᳰक सामािजक ᱨप से िज᭥मेदार कापᲃरेट सं᭭थान होने के नाते बीईएल को अपने सभी िहतधारकᲂ के िलए अपने मू᭨य को अिधकतम करना चािहए।

As a member and Finance representative of BEL's Pension Trust and Gratuity Trust, Mr Damodar Bhattad has ensured that the trust portfolio is suitably diversified in order to minimise risk and maximise returns. Earlier, during his tenure as Head of Finance (Operations), he played a crucial role in finalising contracts and selling price of major equipment and systems with customers. As a member of BEL's Price Negotiation Committee, he was instrumental in obtaining significant price reductions from suppliers. He believes that BEL being a socially responsible corporate citizen must maximise its value for all its stakeholders.
