Best of the Best PLC (LSE: BOTB), the provider of online competitions to win cars and other prizes, is pleased to announce that, following Globe Invest Limited's acquisition of a 29.9% interest in the Company, Charles Butler has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman, effective with immediate effect.

In conjunction with Charles' appointment, David Firth, BOTB's current Chairman, will step down from his position but will remain on the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Charles is a chartered accountant with over two decades' experience in senior executive and Board level positions in growth and digital technology businesses, including those quoted on AIM. His previous roles include being CEO of Market Tech Holdings plc, a property and digital technology group which he led from a successful AIM IPO, raising over £1 billion in equity and debt, through to its subsequent takeover, and Group CEO at NetPlay TV, the interactive gaming company. Charles is currently a Partner at Belerion Capital, a private equity firm specialising in e-commerce and technology, and is also a Non-Executive Director of Essensys Plc, Mysale Group Plc, and chairman of Highcroft Investments plc, a REIT listed on the premium listing segment of the Official List.

As previously announced on 8 September 2022, Globe Invest Limited ("GIL") purchased 2,501,740 ordinary shares representing 29.9% of the Company's issued share capital ("Ordinary Shares"). In-line with that share purchase Charles has been appointed to strengthen the Board and help advise the Company on its next stage of growth.

As at the date of this announcement, Charles does not personally have an interest in the Ordinary Shares of the Company.
