Appointment of Mr Laurie Marsland as a Non-Executive Director

Th e Board of B erkeley R e sources Limited (the Company) is pleased t o advise t h at it has appointed Mr Laurie Marsland as a non- e xecutive D irector, ef f ective fro m 25 Au g ust, 2011. Mr Marsland is an e ngineer wi t h more th a n thirty y e ars’ of diverse experience in the intern a tional mini n g industr y , largely i n senior m a nagement and executive dire c tor roles. S ince 2000 he has w o rked exten s ively in E u rope, including Sp a in.

Mr M arsland has a stron g backgrou n d in proje c t manage m ent, and i n the acqui s ition and develop m ent of go v ernment o wned mining assets in Easte r n Europe. His ext e nsive exp e rience will further str e ngthen th e Board’s s trategic pr o cesses a s the Co m pany continues to w o rk towards uranium p r oduction in Spain.

Mr Marsland worked fo r Minproc Engineers for more than 15 y e ars in pr o ject engineering a n d engine e ring man a gement of mining p r ojects in A ustralia, W est Afri c an, Latin America a nd USA. During t h is period he helped establish that co m pany’s N o rth Ameri c an arm, M incorp Li m ited, bef o re taking up the role of Pre s ident and CEO of La g una Gold a nd overse e ing its listi n g on the T S X.

Su b sequent e x perience includes Vice Presid e nt, Project Develop m ent for G a briel Re s ources, th e n Executi v e Vice Pr e sident an d Chief Op e rating Offi c er for Du n dee Pre c ious Meta l s Inc. whe r e he was r e sponsible for the development a nd operati o n of its m ining as s ets after r e negotiatin g the acq u isition of the substa n tial Chelo p ech gol d -copper mine from the Bulgaria n Governm e nt. He is currently a partner in PLC Par t ners S.A., a private company incorporat e d to purs u e resourc e develop m ent op p ortunities.

Mr M arsland i s .an Australian citizen, and resid e s in Sofia, Bulgaria. He has a de g ree in M echanical Engineering from Cu r tin University and an MSc in Management f rom Sta n ford Univ e rsity.
