Director change

Benchmark announces that Basil Brookes has today stepped down from his position as a Non-Executive Director of the Company for health reasons.  The Company wishes to thank Basil for his valuable contribution to the Board during the past 3 years, and wishes him all the best for the future. 

The Company has commenced a recruitment exercise with a view to appointing an additional Non-Executive Director in due course.  In the meantime, Alex Hambro, who currently serves on the Audit Committee, will be appointed Chair of the committee.  Susan Searle will be appointed to the Audit Committee.  Susan currently sits on the Audit Committee of Qinetic Group plc, and has previously chaired the Audit Committees of both Mercia Technologies plc and Horizon Discovery Group plc. 

Alex Hambro, Benchmark's Chairman commented:

"It has been a great pleasure to work alongside Basil over the last three years and we will greatly miss his contributions to the board, as well as his skill, diligence, team support and humour.  We all wish him the very best for the future.  A successor Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee will be announced in due course."
