Sub: Appointment of Chairman & Managing Director on the Board of M/s. BEML Limited Reg.
Ref: Regn.30 read with Para A(7) of PartA to Schedule ll of the SEBI Listing Regulations, 20155
Pursuant to Article 97 of the Articles of Association of the Company, the President of India has appointed Shri Amit Banerjee (DIN-08783660), Director (Rail & Metro Business) as Chairman &Managing Director on the Board of the Company and he assumed the charge of the post today, i.e., 27.08.2021, in place of Shri MV Rajasekhar, Director (Mining& Construction Business), who was holding additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director.
Shri Amit Banerjee is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT (BHU). He assumed charge as Director (Rail & Metro Business) of the Company on 09.10.2020. Prior to assuming the charge as Director, he served as Executive Director (Rail & Metro Business). He joined BEML as Asst. Engineer and has a vast experience of over 37 years in R&D and manufacturing functions. He has worked for indigenous development of Metro cars for Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bengaluru & Mumbai, Stainless Steel EMUs, Catenary Maintenance Vehicles, PMS Bridge for Indian Amy etc.,
Shri Amit Banerjee is not having any inter-se relationship among the Directors of the Company.
