POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

This announcement is made by Beijing Beida Jade Bird Universal Sci-Tech Company Limited (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) pursuant to Rule 17.10 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on GEM of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ GEM Listing Rules ”) and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined under the GEM Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board (the “ Board ”) of directors (the “ Directors ”) of the Company wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company (the “ Shareholders ”) and potential investors that, based on preliminary assessment of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2021 and the information currently available to the Board, the Group is expected to record a profit attributable to the owners of the Company of not more than RMB17.0 million for the three months ended 31 March 2021 as compared with a loss attributable to the owners attributable to the owners of the Company of approximately RMB11.3 million for the three months ended 31 March 2020. The expected turnaround from loss to profit was mainly attributable to the improvement in the businesses of the Group and the Group’s associates, which have gradually rebounded from the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic since the second half of 2020, and continued through the first quarter of 2021.

The Company is still in the process of finalising the first quarterly results of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2021. The information contained in this announcement is only based on preliminary assessment made by the Board with reference to the information currently available to the Board and is not based on any figures or information which have been reviewed by the Company’s auditors. The finalised first quarterly results of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2021 are expected to be published by the Company on 10 May 2021.
